The receiver is simple little plug-in self contained unit. Press the doorbell, the receiver rings in your choice of ten different rings.

What's the catch? Well, the doorbell part of the equation is also a full color digital video recorder. So, anyone who comes to the door and rings the bell, is also triggering a video of themselves.
