There are so many amazing electronic products being made around the world. For whatever reason, though, you just don't see them at the big box stores at your local mall. Let's not get into the political or socio-economic reasons why this might be - it's not really important. The bottom line is, if you want a flat screen TV or a blu-ray player or a Canon camcorder, there's lots of places to buy that stuff. But, if you want a GPS tracker, a pair of camcorder sunglasses, a bamboo keyboard or a solar backpack, this is where you want to be. 

We started Teknotronic in 2009 so that we could bring these amazing electronics to anyone, anywhere who is looking for a little more than the the latest version of the iPod or the latest HP Laptop. In short, the stuff here is very hard to find anywhere that you can drive, if not impossible -unless your neighborhood has a place that sells black box GPS event recorders or HD helmet cams! Chances are your neighborhood is not much different from my neighborhood - there's a Best Buy, there's a Staples, there's a Walmart, and there's a Target. They all have the same humdrum workaday stuff that we all need... but where's the COOL stuff? Where's the newest technology? 

Well....it's here, that's where. We find it for you, we check it out, we test it, and we play with it. In most cases we rewrite the manuals so they are easy and fun to read.  And hey, guess what? If we don't like it, or think it isn't made well, and it just isn't giving us pleasure or value, you can bet we won't put it on the website. We love the products we carry, and we want you to love them, too. When we can, we work with the manufacturer to tweak something that we think should be changed about a product. In some cases we have designed stuff from the ground up, and in those cases, you will NOT see that product anywhere but here. 

Teknotronic is not a store for "gadgets" nor is it a store for "geeks" or "techheads" and it is not a "spy" or "surveillance" store. Some of our products may fall into those baskets by default, but we think everything on our site can be enjoyed or be useful to just about anyone. After all - "geeks" used to have VCR's and computers, and only "audiophiles" had home theatres.... but that stuff is for everyone now.  The items on this website are the DVD players and the PlayStations of the very near future. They may be rare now, but we think these items are so completely useful and entertaining that their time has come. So, rejoice! The floodgates are open for everyone to enjoy these wonderful products.  You have a place to find them, and people you can call if you need helpful tips or support. And, you don't need to label yourself "propellerhead" to be able to make the most of them. 

So here's our promise: we'll keep searching around the world for great stuff, we'll continue to tweak and design products that we think you'll need or enjoy and we promise that everything will be a solid quality product. In return, all we ask is that you keep in touch with us and let us know if there's something you wish we had...and we'll try to make your wish come true.
